We are pleased to invite you to attend the 3rd RAS General Discussion meeting: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applied to astronomy, which will be held on Friday 9th January at Burlington House in London, from 10.30 to 15.35.

Over the last few years, there has been significant increase in the use of machine learning tools used for scientific research and, since the previous RAS Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence meeting in 2021, new tools and techniques have been developed and applied across all areas of astrophysics.

This meeting is borne in response to the astonishing growth of Machine Learning technologies employed in science and particularly astronomy. This conference will present research across a range of areas of astrophysics, divided into four short sessions. The first is focused on the examination of external galaxies, the second covers cosmology and physical processes in galaxies. The third session will concentrate on research inside the Milky Way, including analysis of stellar populations and investigating planetary atmospheres and the final session will focus on new tools developed for gathering and analysing observational data.
