Biography
Dr Brett M. Morris is a senior astronomical data scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD, USA. His research focuses on stellar and exoplanetary atmospheres, and stellar magnetic activity. He contributes to open-source software with the goal of enabling cutting-edge analysis of exoplanets and their host stars from JWST, the Roman Space Telescope, and others. Previously he was postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Bern in Switzerland, and he defended a dual-title PhD in Astronomy and Astrobiology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2019.
