A Chance Encounter: The Pechell Family

In this final session of conversations about the collections of the RAS Library and Linda Hall Library, Sian and Jason will focus on astronomy education. To start with, they will discuss an astronomical manuscript held by the Linda Hall Library written by Charlotte, Lady Brooke Pechell. Her youngest son, Samuel, was a fellow of the Royal Society. Sian and Jason will also discuss the development of astronomy education in Britain using two sets of cards in their collections.
