We are delighted to announce that the UK Planetary Forum (UKPF) is now officially affiliated with the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS).
Additionally, UKPF has been recognised as the newest Professional and Scientific Interest Group of the Geological Society of London.
Since its founding in 1996, UKPF has served as a representative body for the UK planetary science community, dedicated to promoting planetary research across the UK.
The forum remains committed to fostering engagement and support for researchers at all career stages and from all backgrounds.
The UK planetary science community explores a wide range of scientific disciplines, including geology, physics, chemistry, and biology, as they relate to planetary bodies. Research in these fields is growing across the UK, with numerous large and small research groups contributing to planetary science within both dedicated and interdisciplinary environments.
Membership of the UKPF is open to active UK researchers in planetary sciences and individuals working in related fields. Members gain access to a mailing list for news, events, and opportunities, along with participation in the annual Early Career Research meeting and the biennial British Planetary Science Conference (BPSC).
